The costing module is one of the important controlling modules which enables effective internal cost control and accounting. All functionalities regarding cost analysis and cost allocations are provided by this module. The cost accounting module is highly integrated with a budget and general ledger modules as well as draws input and provides output to various logistics modules such as sales, procurement, warehousing, shop floor, and bill of materials.
Thirdware's bot logins into QAD, simulated cost sets are created, and programs are copied. Then the simulated cost set created goes under modifications. After the modification is made, the modified data in the cost set is rolled up. The reports (Cost Set Report and Cost Set Comparative Report) are then generated and sent to the user. Finally, the modified simulated cost set is copied back to the GL cost set or current cost set.
