Two-Factor Authentication Package
With this command package, bot developers can secure bots with additional levels of security based on time-based one-use passwords.
Top Benefits
- Lock down attended mode bots so they can only be run by those with proper authorization
- Provide additional security over bots that touch confidential data in attended mode
- Add two-factor authentication to existing processes that share data
Actions
- Generate QR Codes for use with TOTP authentication apps, such as Google Authenticator
- Validates one-time time-based passwords
- Provides access to one-time passwords to distribute via email or text
Security and confidentiality are of utmost importance to business executives these days. Many bots often access business-critical data, such as financial systems and human resources. As more of these bots are enabled to work in attended mode, it might be useful to ensure that the person running them has the privilege to do so beyond just usernames and passwords. Two-factor authentication provides that capability.
Moreover, this package can also be used to implement two-factor authentication as part of other business processes. For example, it can generate a code and send it via text or email to a known individual. That code can then be stored for retrieval within another process, such as website access.
QR code creation requires an email and company name, these are for reference in the TOTP authenticator apps and can be any identifiers that will be recognizable by the user
