How and where do I input the Access Code I received for a Free Trial or a purchase?

For Enterprise V11

When you download a 30-Day Free Trial or make a purchase, you will need to input the Access Code into each of the Task Files that shipped with your bot. Record of the Access Code can be found in your Order Confirmation email for the 30-Dat Free Trial or annual subscription purchase. You can also view your Access Code in your "My Downloads" section of your account.

For more detailed instructions, visit Inputting Your Access Code.

I see terms such as License Key and an Access Code, what is the difference?

The License Key is used during the installation process with the MSI installer. The Access Code grants permission to run the product for a defined period of time. You will receive one Access Code for the 30-Day Free Trial and a separate Access Code with the purchase of an annual subscription. Both codes are available to you on your "My Downloads" page.

I can’t run the MSI installer for a bot (V11) I downloaded, what can I do?

For Enterprise V11 To run an Automation Anywhere Bot Store MSI installer, the Windows user must have Administrator privileges to execute the installer on the device. Please contact your company’s IT Support Desk or RPA Center of Excellence to check the policy on executing installer files if you do not have the required permissions. Or you can contact us by using the Bot Store Support Request Form and choose the option, "Have questions or issues with a specific bot." Please provide the details for the specific bot you are trying to install.

What security verifications were completed for products listed on Bot Store?

Do paid products/listings have a free trial?

For Vendors

What are the recommended standards for developing a bot or Package for Bot Store?

A list of standards for design, creation, and submission checklist can be found on the Developer Portal:

How do I submit a product to Bot Store?

To submit a bot or Package to Bot Store you will need a registered account for Automation Anywhere Bot Store. You can create one by clicking the “Login” option in the header of Bot Store. You will also need to create a Vendor Profile page if you do not already have one. Your Vendor Profile page gives you a platform to introduce your organization, showcase your expertise, and highlight your bots available in Bot Store.

Once you have a Bot Store account, please visit the Bot Submission Form available from your My Submissions section of your account.

On this form, you will be asked to provide details of your bot or Package, including:

  • description of your bot or Package features, benefits, inputs, and outputs
  • screenshots and videos showcasing the value of your bot or Package
  • a Readme file with the instructions to install, configure and run the bot or Package

After you submit the bot, the Bot Store Operations team will review your submission to ensure that all the required information is accurate and that the bot or Package meets the standards outlined in the appropriate documentation for the version you are submitting for:

Why has my product been moved to “Draft”?

If your submission does not pass our initial or subsequent reviews, we will reject the submission and move it to “Draft” status. You can still view the submission in your “My Submissions” section of under your Profile.

Bot Store Operations will send you an email with a Submission Review Report that will list all the reasons for rejecting your bot or Package and next steps to help you get through the approval process.

How long will it take for my product to appear in Bot Store after I submit it?

Bot Store Operations will do an initial review of your submission within 5-7 business days of receipt. If your submission does not pass the first review, you will receive an email, Submission Review Report, with the details on the issues that were found and the next steps.

I need to update/make changes to a product that is already published, how can I do this?

If you need to change the information about a bot or Package that is published on Bot Store, please contact us by using the Bot Store Support Request form. Choose the option, "I am a Vendor and need to make changes to my inventory."

Please provide specific details about the updates needed.

If the bot (V11) I’m submitting does not use any Input, do I need to create an empty “Input Folder” folder?

Yes, even though the folder will be empty, the folder is required. Your bot will fail the review process if the “Input Folder” is missing. It is required even if no input files are needed. This is also true for the “My MetaBots” folder.

Please reference our V11 Sample bot available on GitHub.

If the bot (V11) I am submitting does not use any MetaBots, do I need to create an empty “My MetaBots” folder?

Yes, even though the folder will be empty, the folder is required. Your bot will fail the review process if the “My MetaBots” folder is missing. This is also true for the “Input Folder.” It is required even if no input files are needed.

Please reference our V11 Sample bot available on GitHub.

How do I include license management in my paid bot built for V11.3.3 or later?

For Enterprise V11.3.3 or Later
To integrate license management into your paid bot, you need to:

  • Request a Global ID from Bot Store Operations. Use the following form to make the request - Global ID Request Form
  • Once we review and approve your request, you will receive a unique Global ID for each bot you are creating as well as a link to the ‘getting started’ kit which includes a License DLL and instructions.
  • Integrate the License DLL into a metabot
  • The unique Global ID needs to be added to the License Info.txt file that ships (packaged with) with your bot

When a customer downloads a 30-Day Free Trial or makes a purchase, they will receive an Access Code they need to enter which will enforce the length of the trial or annual subscription.

Please Note: If you are interested in submitting paid products for Automation 360, at this time we do not have license management/license enforcement for paid Automation 360 Bots and Packages. Because of this, Global IDs are not needed/available for Automation 360 paid products. If you would like to continue with your listing of an Automation 360 product with a price you may do so but please note, 30-day free trial and 365 day license enforcement will not be available. You may also list your Automation 360 product for Free. There is not license management or license enforcement for Free inventory on Bot Store.
