This bot is designed to work by simply invoking this bot in an existing or new task. The objective of this Bot is to automatically assign issues in JIRA Service Desk to specified JIRA users.
The bot assigns issues that are in open/un-assigned state to the provided Jira users. User details are maintained in an Excel document referenced by the bot. Based on the issue key from the unassigned issues queue, a user will be assigned to that issue using the JIRA REST API.
Key Use Case:
New issue tickets that were created by the support team are added to the unassigned issues queue. A user is then assigned to each of the newly created issues based on the user details maintained in the Excel document.
