The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) developed its Content Taxonomy to enable content creators to more accurately describe content, to facilitate more relevant advertising and to provide a higher quality and more granular foundation for data analysis.

Its use cases span from contextual targeting and brand safety measurement, to audience segmentation and categorization of advertiser product and service offerings.

This bot uses the MeaningCloud Deep Categorization API and its implementation of the enhanced IAB Content Taxonomy v2.0 to categorize a text according to nearly 400 categories in the taxonomy. MeaningCloud’s implementation of the IAB Taxonomy covers all 29 Tier 1 and all 341 Tier 2 categories.

The bot performs a multilevel categorization and can assign several categories to a given text, provided that the relevance of each of these is higher than a threshold parameter. It also returns the JSON with the complete analysis returned by the API.
