Mike, the Law Agent, is a goal-based AI automation built on Automation Anywhere to support junior lawyers in legal research and drafting within the Indian legal system. The automation begins with a research request or rough case input and uses Document Extraction and Bots to capture key details. An AI Agent determines the optimal search strategy and invokes Automation Cloud Service API tasks to search Indian Kanoon, fetch relevant case details, and identify similar judgments. AI Guardrails, implemented through AI Skills, are applied at multiple stages to mask sensitive personal and legal data before information is shared with AI agents. Human-in-the-loop Forms and Approvals allow lawyers to review shortlisted cases and validate drafts. The automation then generates a structured case draft using verified precedents, routes it for approval, and delivers the final output. This solution improves research speed, accuracy, data privacy, and overall legal productivity.

Setup Process
Install
Download the AI Agent and follow the instructions to install it in your AAE Control Room.
Configure
Open the Bot to configure your username and other settings the Bot will need (see the Installation Guide or ReadMe for details.)
Run
That's it - now the AI Agent is ready to get going!
Requirements and Inputs
- Legal research request details including phrase, case name, judge name, court type, and date range
- Valid Indian Kanoon API access with authentication token for case search and retrieval
- Source documents or rough case inputs provided by the junior lawyer for extraction and analysis
